Yammer Overview

Yammer can be used in the Self-Service Environment to enable organisation based, collaboration and communication. Yammer offer type types of Subscription, Freemium and a Payed Version. The Freemium version is funcation enough to be able to add value in the Subscribe-HR Self-Service Environment. Subscribe-HR does not receive any commission if you subscribe to the Yammer, paid service. Click on the following links to find out more about Yammer:

Yammer Set-up

How it Works

  1. You will be set-up with Company Access to "YourZone"
  2. This access will include the ability for Subscribe-HR to add "HR Manager" as a User
  3. HR Manager can then have access to "YourZone"
  4. There will be a HR Manager Video in "YourZone" explaining how to set-up, the Self-Service part of the system. The will also be Poster Templates in "YourZone" that the HR Manager can use to Print our and Post them around offices to annouce the arrival of a new Self-Service Tool. This should be done at least 2 weeks prior to the actual launch
  5. Then, the HR Manager can load Employees into "YourZone" ready to send notifications to the Employees. These Employees will be Self-Service Employees and Line Managers. Both types will have access to the same e-Learning Video, as this video has been constructed in a way that it's generic nature is useful to both group types
  6. There are two video types, for Employees and Managers, one is the "How to activate Subscribe-HR". This will tell the employee about the activation e-mail they will receive to access Subscribe-HR and what to do with this e-mail. This e-mail should be sent prior to the launch of the system so that Employees and Managers know what to expect when they receive the actual activation e-mail.
  7. The second Video is the Actual e-Learning Video which "generally" describes what their Subscribe-HR user access will contain and how they can inteact with the system
  8. Both videos should be sent, one after the other, to provide employees time in between to process what they will be able to access. E.g. Announcement re: The Activation they will receive, followed by the actual e-Learing Piece, closely followed by the actual Activation e-mail to provide access to the system. We would suggest sending both videos prior to actually launching Self-Service
  9. If Employees leave, you can close thier accounts down
  10. Password to access the system will always be your Company Name. User Name will always be either HR Manager or Employee/Manager
  11. E-mails can eb recorded agaist Employee access. This e-mail is used to send out e-mail contacts to users
  12. The e-mail Templates that can be set-up in the system are configurable, so you can actually design your own templates or get Subscribe-HR to design these for you. In the templates, you can select which video and information you want to link back to, from URL's within the template itself
  13. Once you have sent out e-mails communications to users, the system will record who have received what e-mails and when they were sent. For the purpose of keeping track of this information for future communication purposes
  14. "YourZone" can also be used to deliver other training content to users. This can be done by attaching the content to the Company's user profile e.g. HR Manager, Employee/Manager
