The Time Off Wizard allows users to create absence requests.

Time Off Wizard

  1. Select "START" at the Top Right-hand side of the Dashboard [The Top Right of your screen].
  2. Select "Time Off" from the dropdown and click "Select".
  3. You will then be able to select whether you are requesting for yourself (by selecting "Myself") or a member from your team (by selecting "Team Member"). If you select "Team Member", a "Name" dropdown will appear allowing you to select the appropriate employee that the absence request is for.
  4. Click "Next".
  5. The next step will allow you to review the employee's leave balances and how much has been used throughout the current year. This includes their annual leave, personal leave and LSL leave. It will also specify whether they already have any approved leave requests coming up.
  6. Click "Next".
  7. The next step is the leave planner and allows managers and employees to have vision over leave taken by other team members. This tool will help the leave requester understand if the timing of their leave request is appropriate and whether or not they need to coordinate with a team member. You can filter the planner to your department or yourself.
    If by department, you will have overview over all employees within your department and you can further break down the planner by selecting the appropriate month and year via the "Month" dropdown and the "Year" dropdown respectively.
    If you are filtering to your own profile, the leave planner will display leave taken by you on the planner. You can further break this down further by selecting the appropriate "Year".
  8. Click "Next".
  9. In the next step, you will have to enter in details of your request. Select the leave type (e.g. Annual Leave). Once a type has been selected, your current balance will appear below the dropdown field.
  10. Enter in a description for the request in the "Description". E.g. Family holiday.
  11. Enter in the date the leave will start in the "Start Date".
  12. Enter in the date the leave will end in the "End Date".
  13. The "Total Hours" will automatically calculate however you can also adjust this manually should you need to.
  14. Click "Next"
  15. The next step will allow you to select the approver. This will automatically populate with the employee's manager.
  16. Click "Next"
  17. The final step allows the user to review the information that has just been entered in.
  18. When ready, click "Submit".
