Setting Up Public Holidays

Setting up Public Holidays in the system is a crucial step if you wish for any Holiday Accruals to be accurate. After Public Holidays are setup all accruals and working hours take into account the Public Holidays.

Any forgotten Public Holidays can be setup as late as the day before the event without effecting calculations.

Adding Public Holidays

  1. After logging into the Subscribe-HR portal, navigate to the ‘Maintenance’ TAB.
  2. Select the Public Holidays folder.
  3. Select the Create button.
  4. Enter the Profile Name. Example: NSW
  5. Enter a Profile Description.
  6. Select the Save button.
  7. You will see a calendar on screen, if you select the desired date you will be prompted with a Enter Holiday Information window.
  8. Enter the Holiday Name.
  9. Select the Only This Year check box, if this event does not have an anniversary.
  10. Select the Date from the From Year text box, if this event starts from a particular year.
  11. Select the Date from the Until Year text box, if this event ends on a particular year.
  12. Select the OK button.
  13. You will be returned to the calendar. You can repeat these steps to add as many Holidays as required.

Fields marked in bold are mandatory and must be filled in before the holiday can be saved

You maybe required to create multiple profiles for Public Holidays. The reasons for doing this
would be if you have different holiday periods for different locations. In this case you will have to simply repeat the first few steps

  1. Select the Public Holidays folder.
  2. Select the Create button.
  3. Enter the Profile Name. Example: VIC
  4. Enter a Profile Description.
  5. Select the Save button.

Editing Existing Public Holidays

If you need to add a holiday to one of the profiles, its simple.

  1. After logging into the Subscribe-HR portal, navigate to the ‘Maintenance’ TAB.
  2. Select the Public Holidays folder.
  3. Select the Profile you wish to edit.
  4. You will see the calendar of holidays for this profile, select the desired day.
  5. You will be presented with the Enter Holiday Information window.
  6. Enter the Holiday Name.
  7. Select the Only This Year check box, if this is event does not have an anniversary.
  8. Select the Date from the From Year text box, if this event starts from a particular year.
  9. Select the Date from the Until Year text box, if this event ends on a particular year.
  10. Select the OK button.
  11. You will be returned to the calendar. You can repeat these steps to add as many Holidays as required.
