The Salary Modelling Tool allows you to update all employee's or select employee's salaries or bonuses quickly and efficiently.

The purpose of the Remuneration Modelling tool is to provide fast access to key remuneration information. You can model increase and decreases in Salary. You can apply Salary and Bonus increases based on Performance Scores.

If it is required to give certain employee's an increase in their salary, rather than manually updating each affected employee's salary, you can rather use this tool to select those affected employees and quickly update their salaries or bonuses.

The Tool allows you to view information for Employee's around LSL, Sick Leave and Length of Service, Other Costs, Salary Benchmark (available through selecting Salary Increase), Performance Review Scores. You can use the model to apply information to the Employee for Bonus and Salary or your can just use it as a Visualisation option to have a snapshot of the information which has been selected in the Columns.

If required you can also set this tool to select employees that do not have a current bonus or salary. This allows you to set a salary or bonus to those who currently do not have one.

<b>Modelling Status</b> relates to where the the model is at in terms of processing. The four statuses are: Pending, Submitted, Authorised, Declined.

The Salary Modelling tool can also allow you to filter your employees by department and/or location, so that only employee's working in a selected location(s) or department(s) are affected by the salary update.

<b>Model Name</b> is Mandatory. Described the Model.

The Salary Modelling tool also allows you to switch between updating your employee's salary to updating your employee's bonus so that you can choose to apply an update to either an employee's salary or bonus when required.

<b>Apply Salary:</b> reductions to the Model if you are reducing the Compensation for Employees by using the negative Salary feature. You can enter into the system, a Salary Date or Bonus Date which will be used to create new Salary and or Bonus records. Dates can be in the past or in the future. If a date is in the past, it will instantly create new Salary records for those people. Salary Start Date is Mandatory.

Bonus Payment Dates and Salary Increase Dates can be different to each other. You can also create different dates for different people if required. If you select Bonus from the Columns option, you will be able to see the last Bonus amount.

<b>Bonus Date/s or Salary Date/s:</b> you are able to either bulk create the Date/s or change them for individual records. This can be done: <b>For Bulk</b> by entering the Date for Salary or Bonus into the field in the Filter area or, <b>Single</b> by entering the date for the new <b>Salary</b> or <b>Bonus</b>, into the individuals record.

<b>Authorisation</b> process which is built into the Remuneration Modelling Tool, the person that sets up the Model, can send it for Authorisation to a Manager. All Managers will be available in the selection option, when Submit is clicked. A workflow e-mail will be sent to that person. This person can then Authorise / Decline, or send it to another manager for Authorisation. If Authorisation is performed by clicking the Authorisation button, the model will be Authorised and the Salary and Bonus records created based on the dates that are in the model. If the model is a Redundancy model, you will be able to create negative Salary values. Upon authorisation no records will be created from Negative values. If you are using a Payroll integration, and the Payroll integration Supports Salary and Bonus update, this information will be sent from Subscribe-HR to Payroll. You cannot Create and Authorise a Model yourself for the reason of Risk mitigation and compliance. Please note that custom workflows can also be set-up based on specific Authorisation processes, which will only allow certain Managers to Authorise a Model. Workflow e-mails will send to the person Submitting to Model to an Authoriser and also send to the Authoriser and the Submitter, upon Authorisation of the Model of if the Model is NOT authorised.

Model Total will show always, based on the SUM off all people in the model and their Salaries. Model Projection Total will show based on increase in Salary if Salary Increase Column is used. If Department Filter is used, Budget information from the Budget Sub Folder will be shown. This information is based on Budget Amount, Current Expenditure and Remainder. This information will be shown along with  Total Salary and the Projection.

Any negative Salary records will not be created as new records against the Employee. The model for Redundancy or negative Salary will only be recorded in the model, for record keeping purposes, not for updating New Employees records. There is a step in the Authorisation process that will notify the Authoriser that no records will be created for the Employees in the model, upon authorisation of a redundancy model.

Remuneration Modelling Tool Summary

The purpose of the Remuneration Modelling tool is to provide fast access to key remuneration information. You can model increase and decreases in Salary. You can apply Salary and Bonus increases based on Performance Scores.

The Tool allows you to view information for Employee's around LSL, Sick Leave and Length of Service, Other Costs, Salary Benchmark (available through selecting Salary Increase), Performance Review Scores. You can use the model to apply information to the Employee for Bonus and Salary or your can just use it as a Visualisation option to have a snapshot of the information which has been selected in the Columns.

Modelling Status relates to where the the model is at in terms of processing. The four statuses are: Pending, Submitted, Authorised, Declined.

Model Name is Mandatory. Described the Model.

  1. After logging into the Subscribe-HR HCM Platform, under "TOOLS" select "REMUNERATION MODELLING" from the left navigation.
  2. Select the [Add New Record] button.
  3. Enter the Remuneration Model Name. Ensure that the name is descriptive.
  4. Select Model Type from the Dropdown option. E.g. Performance, Data Analysis, Growth, Redundancy. You can create your own options in this Dropdown by updating it in Code Library - Model Type.
  5. Select Save at the top of the page.

  1. Open an existing or new Remuneration Model.
  2. Create the Name for the Model.
