Performance Workbench - Review Tool

Overview

Review tool can be accessed by clicking on Open Review action in list all views. It allows users to complete steps in the performance management workflow.

Define Step Type

Define step type will be rendered according to the settings in the workflow. A section for each definition item will be created. If step settings contain only one item, only one section will be rendered. To add an item please follow the steps below:

  1. Click on Open Review action against the performance review record in the Performance Workbench List All view. This step will be available when current step type = Define.
  2. One or multiple sections will be rendered for each definition item. For example if definition item is goals, section for goals will be rendered.
  3. To define a goal click on Create New in the goals section.
  4. A dialog box will show up with new goal form. The form will be based on the template specified in the workflow configuration.
  5. Fill in all the mandatory fields and other relevant information.
  6. Click the [Create] button to create new goal.
  7. New goal will be displayed in the list all view in the goals section.
  8. At this point you can edit goal by clicking on Edit button that appears before goal record or delete it by clicking Delete button.

PDP Step Type

Personal development plan step allows managers to create action plans against employee goals. Action plans are used to track what employee is doing to achieve particular goal. An action plan can include mentoring or training.

To add more goals to PDP please use the steps below:

  1. Click on Open Review action against the performance review record in the Performance Workbench List All view. This step will be available when current step type = PDP.
  2. Click on Add Goal button. If you want to Add a completed Goal, use the relevant button.
  3. A dialog box will show up with new goal form. The form will be based on the template specified in the workflow configuration.
  4. Fill in all the mandatory fields and other relevant information.
  5. Click the [Create] button to create new goal.
  6. New goal will be displayed in the relevant PDP section.
  7. At this point you can delete the goal by clicking Delete button.

To add Interventions against a Goal please use the steps below: (Please note some features my not be available unless you are using (Team Dashboards).

  1. Navigate to relevant Goal within PDP.
  2. Click on Create Intervention button.
  3. A dialog box will show up with the PDP form.
  4. Fill in all the mandatory fields and other relevant information. Please note, if you select "Course Waiting List, Event Waiting List, E-Learning" for the PDP Intervention, the person will be placed onto the "Waiting List" or the "E-Learning - Pending Status) for the Course. The Course will then need to be turned into an "Event" which will have an actual "Start Date" and "Finish Date". The Employees Training Record will be created with the status of the Course/Training recorded. If Mentoring being used, the Mentor will be recorded as an Intervention.
  5. Click the [Create] button to create new Intervention for the PDP.
  6. New Intervention (Action) will be displayed in the list all view in the relevant goal section.
  7. At this point you can edit action plan by clicking on Edit button that appears before action plan record or delete it by clicking Delete button.

Review / Check-in Step Type

In this step type a canvas or survey will be rendered. Please follow all instructions in the questionnaire and complete all mandatory fields to be able to submit this step. Questionnaires can have multiple pages. A progress bar will be displayed on top of the page to indicate completion percentage.
